Swim

Swimming Pool / Open Water

Many triathletes start race day by saying to themselves, “If I can just get through the swim, I’ll be OK.”

Is that you?

For many people new to triathlon, the swim is the most challenging leg. Our sessions are aimed at triathletes to help them improve, feel confident and put together the fastest possible swim on race day.

The saying goes “You can’t win the race in the swim, but you can lose it”

Top Tips to improve your swim leg

Always have a plan for the swim. From where I'm starting to running up to the timing mat.

Make every stroke count. Concentrate on your technique.

Find someone to swim behind and draft, draft then draft some more.

Swim all the way to shore until your fingers touch the bottom of the sand.

Congratulate yourself for a swim well swum. Now... Concentrate on the bike to come.
